Horrendous stickers! Really do not like them!

I quite like them. At least they aren't fluorescent and clashing colours. I swear some sticker designers think all cricket players are magpies and attracted to outlandish colours.

I agree - though the Powerbow Gen X was apparently the bestseller for GN last year and those stickers remain a dogs dinner to me. These Lucky 7s look well designed and thought out to me.

Yeah, definitely a lot better than some of the previous offerings such as the Nemesis or the Vortex!

Surely it is the shape that should be attracting people?

A massive bat with next to no concaving in a light weight, isn't this what the forum at large keep screaming out for?

I personally really like the stickers. Less sure about the Powerbow Gen X, and previously the Vortex/Nemesis but all 3 have their fans.

I'm glad someone has mentioned the shape. I think it's great! I can't believe that something that shape would pick up heavier than it says on the handle!

Shape does look good, stickers are to my liking but I can see why some would not like them but biggest turn off is I haven't seen a well pressed GN especially for lower grades in last 2-3 seasons and 225GBP for what looks like G2 or G3 is not ideal.

Hope those who buy have a great experience with it.

With the greatest of respect, i think it is unfair to tarnish the range of arguably the biggest brand in cricket based on your experience with a small selection of their bats. I have a number of customers very happy with their Powerbow Gen X Strikes for just £85 this year. I handpick bats (mainly because i enjoy the visits to factories/warehouses, but also to avoid any planks) and try to ensure every bat at every price point is as good as it can be.

Granted these 2 Lucky 7's were not handpicked, but i relied on the staff at GN (who i trust) to send me a couple to the specs i requested, and they did so. To have a bat (almost certainly) made at Robertsbridge by one of the best batmakers going for just £225 is not to be sniffed at, especially when other retailers are selling this model for £250.

That is the type of reasoned response that makes me now always lean towards a specialist like yourself to point me in the right direction! The trust in your invested time and ability to select a bat far better than I! I shudder to think back to the days when I went into shops and didn't even tap a bat up, let alone take the time to know the people I was buying from or even think about whether they had gone and actually selected their stock from the manufacture.

Hi Jake, I don't mean any disrespect towards GN, infact they are a brand I grew up wanting every bat of. I am only stating my experience with the brand's bats, some of which were hand picked by the retailers I purchased from and a few blind over the internet and only 2 good bats in last 3 seasons were powerbow extremes from Asad (Uzi Sports) so considering 2 good bats out of 10 GN bats over last 3 seasons, 8 (3 hand picked and 5 blind over the net) of which are still being used but not liked as they don't seem to have opened up is a not a huge sample size but is good enough for me. On the plus side 9 of 10 still are intact.

To add: I think it might be the difference between their bats made in India vs UK but I can't be certain as I have no way of knowing.

In the last 4 season I have had.
2x oblivion pro extreme
Maverick collossus
Nemesis

My close team mates have had.
Ignite
Oblivion pro extreme
Powerbow extreme

The nemesis has not been used yet, the powerbow extreme was a big old dud, so much so gray nics replaced it when it was sent back for being a dud.

The rest have been guns, or still are been used to great effect.
And I'd bet one of my bats, that they were all Indian made grays. And only the maverick was handpicked(Uzi).

Thats fair, i was hesitant to call the selection of bats you have seen 'small' as i do know that you buy a lot of bats. Some of the feedback from people i have selected bats for during the 2014 season has been beyond impressive.

I have a GN bat i know was definitely made at Robertsbridge and a GN bat i am almost certain was not. I love both of them equally. I also have a Dynadrive (not an LE like some of the beauties that we have posted so many pictures of) that i am fairly unhappy with. Not to say it is a bad bat in terms of performance, there is just a lack of that wow factor when hitting the ball, and it took a very long time in terms of balls faced on the machine to get to this stage. I don't feel my Dynadrive is the norm when it comes to GN bats however.

Try one from me, we are all looking for something different when it comes to selecting a bat, maybe i can find one that meets your requirements?

Sounds fair Jake, will get in touch when I am looking at buying a GA next but I think next purchase might be  B&S as they look just lovely and I like the Impi shape although undecided on the stickers for 2015. Anyways time to save some money [emoji4]
