Ton Gladiator Elite Duffle Review
« on: September 19, 2014, 12:29:11 PM »

Received it today from PDS for £25 and it looks very spacious. I am not sure about the quality though when I compare it to the likes of M&H, Willostix etc. the material doesn’t feel heavy enough to last long or stand rough use. One must be careful not to throw spikes in them, I get a feeling they will end up damaging it.

Zips feel like good quality ones but they will not make much difference if they are put on weak or thin canvas.

2 Bat pockets but I think padding could be better around them.

The side pockets go for full length of the bag but the separating plastic sheet is so thin, I would be very wary of putting anything heavy so it will be used for clothes may be.

The front packet will come in handy for keys etc.

The shoulder straps and padding at the back are more comfortable than any other bag I have used.

Overall I am very happy with the price I paid and will definitely be using it next season.

Will be interested to know people’s views once they have used it for a bit.

Not bothering with pictures as there are plenty around anyways.

haha get over it mate.

Will be interesting to see how you organise your kit and how much you can fit in. I haven't put anything in it yet.

A lot of similarish duffles on show at Lord's yesterday! Seems like large duffles are taking over the world!

My personal favourite was the GM original, with the new GN Omega a close 2nd...

Unfortunately my bag of choice (CK22) has gone up in price substantially despite not changing!

I got a nice one off ebay, really thick material so the spikes shouldn't go through (I pack my shoes spoke to spike anyway so not an issue) and seems like it will last an age. Think it was £2 or £3 posted so even better!

I do use a bag mate so spikes won't be an issue, it was just an observation about the material.

M&H is on a different level quality wise. Would you agree.

On a par with the GM one, but the GM costs slightly less and has some nifty features that aren't present on the M&H.

Another good duffle at the show was the new Newbery one, which is (easily) the least expensive of all the duffle bags I've mentioned.

The TON is a good duffle, and was very popular this year, but in the blink of an eye it seems dated, which is crazy really...

No way. This one already feels like a standard holdall with shoulder straps. Is it even practical getting duffels any bigger. What is the point of a duffel?

In my eyes it is about space saving on public transport, less space in changing rooms, easy in small car boots and just having everything in a compact manner really.
