Hunts County Insignia 2015 Orders
« on: September 19, 2014, 09:02:19 PM »

As per some photos I posted in the Lords trade show topic, Hunts are relaunching the Insignia for 2015, in that iconic duck bill toe shape.

There are 2 models, the Insignia and the Insignia 5 Stag (a play on the 5 star model)

Insignia £175
Insignia 5 Stag £220

Free delivery.

The bats are basically available now, there might be a small lead time if you want a weight they don't have, but nothing beyond a couple of weeks i would imagine.

And Tim2000s, Manormanic, anyone else. Yes we can do custom Long Blades/Handles at no extra cost :)

Wowww... That's a beautiful stick. Is the 5 stag really more expensive or was that a typo ?

The Insignia model is a 3 crown, or 3 star (or 3 stag if you prefer) but Hunts said many people prefer not to have a bat named 3 crown/stag/star. So it is simply an Insignia. The top of the range model is the Insignia 5 stag.

Surely that is a red card offence putting up the Impi and this on the same night..... Choices, choices....

I know you haven't physically taken delivery of the B&S bats yet but do you expect the middle to be a little higher on this compared to the Impi? Currently playing on slower, lower west country wickets.

'Handcrafted English Willow' suggests not actually made in England?

(Hope I don't get shouted at.)

Indian lead times are 30+ days.

These bats are available now, days after launching, and if nothing is suitable is in stock they will make one up within a week or two.

The Caerulex, Revolution Turbo and Insignia are made in the UK.

In the 90s all the cricketers in my league had a Dynadrive or A Hunts duckbill variant.
The hunts I had was quite long in the middle and was very forgiving. Nostalgic maybe, but this looks exactly as I remember but also modern - great design.

I was always more keen on the reflex than the insignia, but this looks lovely. I presume it doesn't have a hole drilled through the middle like the turbo?

My son has a custom made Caerulex made at the factory for a sponsored player. They have a great pick up and the higher five crown models all pick up a bit lighter than the actually are and edge size is around 38mm and I think thats the same as the off shelf bats. Looking forward to seeing the insignia in real life. Looks a belter.....

I still use my Insignia 5 Crown that I bought in 2008 - a really lovely bat. How does the new model compare to the old ones? From the pictures it looks a bit more sculpted, in that it it looks as though they've taken a bit of weight away from the shoulders of the bat. Is it still entirely concaving-free? Awesome stickets though.

I don't now as i haven't seen an Insignia from that era for a long time. There is some concaving, but not much. It is certainly a very full profile, and of course the classic duck bill toe tops it off!

Picking out one of these belters for a lucky forum member this week, pics to come soon :)
