to be fair it was decent Slaz gear, bat looked a belter, he just didn't have much chance to use it.

It was the slaz sweatband that got a real caning.

To be fair mine is semi decent, Ultimate pads and gloves and an V500 elite goes as well as my B&S LE. But did by super cheap SD crap for winter nets just so i could bat as i didn't know if i was going to get picked. Got all my first kit and had change from £50 so it did serve a purpose.

I think you can pick up some serious kit at a good price point from SD, so maybe for all the matching kit Fans out there this is the place for you.

2012 saw me using GM equipment across the board, Original pads and gloves and a GM Duallist bat. 2013 saw me using Kookaburra Kahuna kit across the board K1000 and players gloves with K1000 pads and a players bat. 2014 saw me using GN kit, Legend pads, E41/Kaboom gloves and a lovely E41 bat! Who knows what next years holds, I'm tempted by B&S if GN don't sort their softer than soft easily worn out glove palms!!

If this helps both 2015 GN Legend test and F18 test gloves have Pittards premium leather palms.

After having the last years Aus Legend gloves and loving them, I ordered the new ones when I seen they had Pittards (too see what the fuss was about).  frankly I like the feel of the previous model.   ???

Depends on the individual I guess. For some strange reason it's something about having matching kit to an extent makes you look smart and tidy. Gloves and pads have to be matching, can get away with the bat. Like to have my playing whites the same brand as whatever our club shirt make is as we don't do club trousers.

I'm really not too picky. The big thing for me is value for money and quality. Up until 2013, i wasn't too phased, but i replaced all my kit at once for the first time every due to a business trip to india. Since then, I've really wanted my gloves and pads to match, but my bats have been different.

I've gone towards a brand that has pretty traditional colouring with mostly white, so the softs go with most bats.

Nothing matches.

I use a different bat for different situations (net, middle practice, match). It would be impossible to match my bat with other gear. My priorities are comfort, fit , and efficiency.

I quite like matching my gloves and Bat (but its not essential). Apart from that its all about value for money. (that doesn't mean cheap).

It can look really smart if someone has matched their gear, and of course if they can actually play then it looks good. Off stump out of the ground first ball generally results in some choice "all the gear..." comments from the field!

Having said that a blank bat arriving at the crease usually results in some sort of comment... hold on a minute, thinking about it just about anyone arriving at the crease received some form of "in the spirit of the game" commentary

Agreed, reminds me off the time we played a league t20 cup game. And everyone used my mongoose mmi3.
The ones that failed got "it's cos you used that stupid bat, no good in a proper game mate"
Yet the two that scored 50 at 200plus sr got "it's all that bat mate, you'd have got 0 with a proper bat"

All from the same fielder! Little gobby ginger kid.

I am neither rich enough nor player enough to warrant a matching kit  ;)
I try to buy the best possible in my budget and spend hours online to find the best price for the product I am looking for.
