New Reserve
« on: September 24, 2014, 07:30:42 PM »

Contacted the guys at Laver 2 weeks ago about a low density cleft that went like a gun. Had to wait a couple of days for them to sort through the new willow but finally they found my cleft. I was not concerned too much about looks but really wanted a big bat that was light. I ended up with a very nice looking bat that is huge and weighs a feather.
My specs:

Sub continent profile
Oval handle
Flat face
Minimal concaving
No more than 2.8

I got a huge bat, with no concaving, oval handle, flat face in the most perfect profile I have seen. Edges are 40mm and the spine height is 62mm, it is seriously huge. I will let the last photo show you the weight. Absolutely stoked with the bat and can't wait for the season to kick off next Saturday.

Sexy bat - massive for the weight!

Can't wait to hear how she goes out in the middle.

As has been said in another thread my handle is also quite thin, but i love it like that. I had a net with it yesterday and it was unbelievable. The middle is huge and it picks up like a dream. I love to pull and it was perfect. The weight and pick up make it perfect for me. Very very happy and can't wait to use it in a game.

Haha. My Lavers have never put on weight. Not sure its because I live in NZ or that I Give them a clean up each season. You guys up North must be feeding them rubbish  ;)

So I have been using my bat for 3 weeks now and it has been unbelievable, perfectly pressed and weighted the ball just flies off.
Anyway I found a crack on the inside edge from Saturdays innings and it was a little bit deep for a surface crack, nothing to cry about and it would've kept pumping but I thought I would send it to James and Anthony to get a second opinion. I sent it on Monday Arvo and they fixed the crack (Which was all good and nothing to worry about) applied the new shield stickers, gave it a full refurbish and had it back to me by Thursday morning. The service is out of this world and one of the main reasons I keep going back. Simply outstanding business they have down here in NZ.
