Favourite T-20 profile.
« on: September 30, 2014, 02:17:16 AM »

Wondering what peoples favourite T-20 profiles are ?

By t-20, I don't mean bash everything in sight, MMi type bats, but slightly meatier profiles suited to stroke play as well as nudging and grafting.

I usually prefer to stick with one bat throughout the entire season and don't like to change bats based on the game format. However, if the pitch and outfield are unusually slow, then I might resort to a heavier bat and opt to clear the infield more. I've never been a big hitter and I can usually still score quickly enough by hitting it along the ground.

Yeah I have to say I agree. I'm not one to change my bat based on the format - but instead stick with one bat that I use all the time.

My one bat - SS (TON) Gladiator in 2.14. Nice meaty edges and full profile with little concaving.

Anything that has shoulder dropped by 1 or 2 inches max is my preference for a T20 bat. That does give more meat to the hitting area and the bat pickup almost remains the same as a regular bat.
Mongoose mmi3 is an extreme and is not needed.

The best two T20 profiles I've used in a match were the Joker shape and the Bulldog SpiriT20, with which I hit some massive sixes. I'd suggest the Mongoose CoR3 would be similar.

Blank Bat T20 and the Joker. Both get the job done. They are a bit more versatile than the MMi.

I own and have used an MMI3, its stupid!
Anything short I'm in trouble and to compensate for lack of blade I get myself into stupid positions so my body isn't in line with the ball!

Yes you can hit it miles with an MMI3, but I don't feel confident using mine.

Affinity Toro
Used it all season in all formats
Hit fours off the toe and cleared point and the covers easily off top edges!

600+plus league runs at 40avg and about 700 runs in t20 and Sunday games

Anyone ever used an h4l tempo ? Is that a profile suited to this format ?

Newbery Uzi for me.. longer handle and shorter blade .. classic profile and quality... shame I sold it onto my club this season as many team mates have scored runs a plenty with it... it was my back up bat as I've been using Affinity and H4L this season..also good for any format..

I'm on a budget and wanted to know if it's possible to get a custom made bat for under £180? Basically I want a gun but don't want to pay the big price tag that comes with it
