Hi guys, had some Newbery style pads made which I thought I'd share for some feedback and opinions.

They look nice, are you looking at starting a brand or something?

I'm giving it some serious consideration but very much in the idea stage. I doubt it would be anything more than a hobby and a way to learn more about dealing with buyers and suppliers.

I thought I would start with a simple but well loved design and tweak it very slightly. My brief was to replicate the Newbery SPS pads and I'd say this is a fairly decent effort. (albeit the design is classic/ simple)

They look nice but I'd imagine most prefer the 'cup' style knee locator to this type.

That nearer but I meant more like this

where the 'cup' is drawn in from all sides, rather than just the left and right.

How did you find the service with the supplier?

I see what you're saying. Perhaps I'll request this for my next sample.

Roughly 800g. Making them particularly light wasn't the intention but I'm sure they could be bought down in weight a bit.

I've known the supplier for some time. it's not for the lack of desire to provide a good service but doing things remotely has some inherent pitfalls regardless of who the supplier is. These guys are pretty accommodating of my requests but the proof of whether they're on the same page is always in the end product.
