The Aero Tour Bag
« on: October 28, 2014, 11:43:14 AM »

Has anybody got one of these? I'm talking about the expensive £100 one's, not the slightly cheaper alternatives. I'm close to ordering one but can't for the life of me find any photos of the inside or more detailed photos, just stock one's appearing! How do people find it? More photos, experiences/stories, videos of it would be fantastic as I'm yet to find anything across Google searching and the Forum search engine.. Maybe I'm just terrible at it right now but can't find hardly anything! Thanks :)

I had one. This bag WILL make you the most unpopular man in the dressing room!

Unless you're going to put windows in it, call it a caravan and live in it, then I really don't see the need for a bag of this size.

It's ludicrous and will make you the most hated person in the dressing room, as well as no one wanting to give you a lift anywhere unless they've got a roof-rack or a van.

I had   one also really liked the design and idea but it was just too big. Some have commented that theirs   didn't   last the test of time

There is smaller and slightly cheaper variant that shares the same layout and features aside from the luggage style pull out handle.

I bought this to travel to Australia. Corners had been torn by the time I arrived. Not sure it will affect you popularity one way or the other. I use it standing up and normally have it in a corner and nobody falls over it. Very big indeed. Does the job but clearly needs a big boot to put it in. Mesh got punctured by the boot hinges on a sedan as they ingress once you close it. Not sure I'd buy again but like the padded bat compartment, and the fact that everything has its place, so no fishing around the bottom of the bag. Maybe would get another stand-up design such as a duffle with lots of pockets/ compartments if it exists.

It'll be used to travel back to the UK from Australia, and need a big bag! Haha. I just want to make sure the bats are quite protected as well. I realise it's big, but the two other bags which come with it will be pretty handy. It does seem very well spread out! It would definitely be better if they had their own photos of inside etc..

Therefore, I'd say it's fit for your purpose, if a bit costly. The bats are well protected as there is cushioned pocket for 3 bats which is positioned on what would be the top side when laid down, so shouldn't get knocked on the ground, and there are stiff inserts of corrugated plastic down the sides. That being said, when flying I put the bats down the centre in a stiff cardboard tube that Paul Aldred gave me with one of his masterpieces, then packed everything around it. The corners seem a bit weak to me so next time I go back to England I'll be wrapping in cling film/ glad wrap

Had the cash to spend so thought why not that one time every so often! Haha. Hm, corners sound a little worrying. How do you find the holdall, worthwhile using it?

The holdall fits 3 pairs of shoes, aero thigh pads and gloves. It sits in the top section snuggly. You have to take it out to get to the pads and the bat, but I'd rather remove one bag than its entire contents to get to what is beneath it. I use it a lot for clothe changes after work and before nets. The corners aren't that bad for day to day use. However, I really have no idea what they did with it at the airport, they probably threw it onto concrete which tore the outer black plastic, but did nothing to the nylon material or indeed the contents. I've since repaired the plastic tears with superglue.

as I said earlier, I loved the design and if it can stand the test of time, it will be perfect for international travel. You just cannot trust the airlines with your precious cargo. Doesn't matter where the bat pocket is as it is going to be tossed and thrown about anyways so do what the other poster said, wrap the bats nicely and snuggly in extra protection when travelling.

Liking it so far. How about a brief video showing all the features.
