Silver Sovereign shaping

heres a video of me shaping a silver sovereign. this is how everything is done here by hand to feel for each specific piece of willow. hopefully it will show ok nothings been edited so sorry for my backside being in the pic a bit. if you have 45 mins to bore yourselves then take a look.

Really interesting video, Paul. I had to go back to the start once I had watched to the end of the clip just to see how different it looked - really craftsman/ great to watch.

That is what it is. I can't get it to work on the Ipad but can on the desktop. Worth thinking about as most people I'd imagine view via Iphone/Ipad type devices.

Perish the thought I'd ever try shaping a bat; I'd be checking for alignment/ evenness after every draw/ shave!

That's exactly how I did it when I started but the more you do the more you trust your eye and the feel of balance.
