OZ vs SA
« on: November 14, 2014, 03:31:02 AM »

1st ODI just started.
Games down under are so much fun to watch(remember watching benson and hedges series as a kid when I was in India- would wake up at 3 am for that). Hope Warner gets a cracking start.

Leaving Steve Smith out was very odd when he's been their best batsmen in recent times. Maybe they wanted to give Watto some game time and consider him as their test number 3. Looks like that hasn't worked... The boys are in a bit poo...

Smith will be in next game surely with Clarke out injured again.

Good batting by Bailey using his luck, 300 never looked likely!

And big Mitch has just got the first wicket - nearly hitting the 150km/hr mark, awesome to watch

Nice to see George Bailey get a few after being pretty dry in the last couple of series. Albeit he was dropped 4/5 times.

With Clarke injured again, might be the end of his ODI career and in the long term I think Pup will retire after the 2015 Ashes, Bailey's a pretty good replacement for Pup as ODI captain.

A few concerns for South Africa regarding the formation of the side. Since Johnson broke McLaren's arm earlier in 2014, his bowling has really gone downhill. Needs to be addressed. As Abbott, de Lange or Lopsy Tsotsobe would probably do a lot better than what McLaren's offering at present.

The injury to JP Duminy has led to Berhardien and Roussow battling for a place. Bjt neither offer much with the ball.

Mitch Johnson bowling rockets, always entertaining viewing.

Watto is a moron. That's funny as robelinda had uploaded a video showing Watto dishing out his childish send-offs a fee days before this game. Guess he saw this coming...

I don't think anyone at the ground including his team mates wouldn't have batted an eye lid if Gayle had just dropped him as he walked off.

Game 2 @ the WACA

Australia 154.
Mitchell Marsh 67

Morne Morkel 5/21 - career best
Dale Steyn 3/35

South Africa
157/7
AB de Villiers 48
Rilee Rossouw 30
David Miller 22*

Josh Hazlewood 5/31 - career best

Excellent display of bowling from Morkel and Hazlewood.

Hazlewood surely will bag a Test cap at the Gabba vs India.

I'm watching it off record, Loving watching Philander and Morkal make Warner and Finch look like the players they are. Not good enough on decent wickets against top line bowling. Watson also shown up as Mr Front Foot Planter. Enjoyable game and would love to see more tests played on fast and bouncy wickets like this.

I guess you missed Australia's tour of South Africa earlier this year then?

Where a certain David Warner hammered this very attack into the ground. 500 odd runs @ 90. 3x100 and 2x50.
