Beautiful. Only thing is, it is missing the Players engraving, so it may very well have been a pro issue bat. Stickers look pretty good though, but I don't think it's an off the shelf for sure. :)

Lovely looking bit of willow.

Doesn't look like a kahuna profile to me, but in this case that's no bad thing!

Is there a players engraving on the back?

What is the players engraving?

They engrave Players on there just above the toe like in this picture

Oh ok, no sign of that on this one. I notice that link to 'pro players bat' still states that there is 4-6mm scallop.

where did the bat come from and does it have a mysterious story behind it?

Came from a mate who said its a Ricochet pro bat. Not sure if that means it was for an actual player. Would these still be indian made?

It certainly doesn't look like any ricochet I have seen, if it were a ricochet im sure the stickers should be of the blue variety.

Roll the grip down and let us know what the stickers on the binding say.

This is the typical professional players shape from Kook for the past few years. It is also (pretty much) the the 2015 Verve shape :)

It will be Indian made if it is a bat provided by Kook to a pro. What makes him say Ricochet? It isn't a Ricochet shape and carries Kahuna branding.

No sticker on the binding - if it had one its not there now. Just MJ marked in pen on the binding and 210 on top of handle which im guessing is the weight
A bat made for Michael Jackson, must be!  :D ;)

Can't blame the tools for the upcoming season!

are you mad... the middle position could be in the wrong place, the handle could feel wrong, it could be too long/short, you might not like the stickers/toe guard
to say you can't blame the tools is very short sighted... You really need to get a feel for how this forum and bat reviews works!!  ;) :D

lovely looking bat by the way

Then there's the tools bowling to try and get you out, the tools who give you LBW and the tools who take the catches!
I always blame a tool of some description, it's never my fault....
