Must be quicker to make too Paul as concaving must be a lot more time consuming

Shouldn't this technically be a cheaper option then?! ;)

I much prefer this shape over the thicker edged Velocity one. It just looks a much smoother shape, while actually retaining quite a reasonable sized edge!

It is quicker to make actually yes. Well I reckon this shape could take over to be honest as I do love it but the other ones there if people want it. Everyone's keeps asking for cheaper  :( I reckon I'm better than competitive as it stands. Am constantly trying to keep the prices down even though willow prices have hiked again for 2015  :-[

This is the argument that it always comes back to. We talk about bat shape, concaving and no concaving, and then we all remember the scoop, which didn't have a spine and still scored a load of runs and hit sixes. It proved that a spine is unimportant on a cricket bat!

If you look at the scoop it literally took the spine away to remove weight so they could keep big edges. There were no bats that were concaved when that first came out. A lot of club bats were quite heavy at that time but if you saw the lighter pro bats they weren't overly big which brings it all back then to the other element that I keep talking about pressing and the quality of the handles. Even with the scoop though they left enough wood in an important area in the bat
