Hope Swanny doesn't bully him in the commentary box!  ;)

can't wait for that presume Swanny hasn't been dumped for KP!!
t20 cricket is all he's good for now, he's happy being a mercenary cricketer. SA didn't want him, England don't want him anymore, notts, hants, etc etc

Last year we had a tour round Trent Bridge on a stag do, and if there are Notts fans on hear what a great tour round your County Club, the guy told us KP was the most disliked and arrogant cricketer they have ever known at the club.

If he had an ounce of nous, instead of poor advisers chasing the £$£$ and Piers Morgan as his Rottweiler he could've played in the Championship last year, scored a couple of thousand runs, played the full domestic limited overs and T20 and probably, though public and media pressure, had some of the selectors who sacked him jump or be pushed.

Instead he did exactly what they said he'd do and now he goes around bleating periodically and getting attention-seeking tattoos to say 'look how good I am/was' - I'm sure he could've just sent the selectors a link to his cricinfo stats...

A result of ridiculous talent, not too bright, money-focused, poor advisers and courting celebrity.

that's spot on.
big runs in the Championship would of made the selectors and top brass look even more silly than the average fan thinks they are...
he was very much liked by our press because he entertained the public, and the press are very powerful in the UK
They would of quickly backed him and put the pressure on an organisation a lot of them dislike...(the ecb)

When I was younger I was coached by a guy (will refrain from naming him) who was apparently one of the people who fell out with him at Notts, and he's an absolute five star codpiece, so can't say I blame KP there!

Looks like kp's had a massive salary cut in this morning's Ipl auction.
Only 1 bid and going for the base price.

Bopara and Morgan also got picked up

All for the same place too. Not sure how Morgan will like that, with KP and Bopara (who is managed by KP's company or something - according to his book) being in his ear?

Rumours around twitter kirsten wanted him out before last year's ipl was up. And told Delhi him or me.

Only on twitter. No news story can be find or actual quotes to put it back to kirsten. Could be true could be twitter s## stirring.

Indian players always carry a bit of a premium as they are home grown.

KP has received much more that this in the past hasnt he? Previous two contracts were 1.5m USD each so yeah quite a drop. There is a video on YT from the auction when KP came up and no-one was bidding, quite funny (if you arent KP)

To be fair to him - he'll still be making an absolute packet from Adidas no doubt!

Hope KP is back in Australia for big bash.  There's performance on the ground but the entertainment value he provided when miked up on the field as well as commentating was fantastic!  Flintoff was good as well!
