Wiese got his chance on the back of strong performances domestically for the Titans and fully deserved his chance and happy he was successful. Behardien is another one who has performed well domestically and became one of the senior players at his domestic side, but unfortunately hasn't made an impact at international level yet. I am glad the Proteas managed to win the last T20 as 2-1 sounds a lot better than 3-0, although losing the series still hurts.

How did McLaren perform when he played for Kent as a Kolpak?

Somehow hadn't realised Wiese can also bat as I've kept missing the South African innings, how has this bloke not got in their team earlier? Looks a whole lot better than Mclaren for example, or Behardien.

& Parnell.

Until McLaren lost form in the last 4-5 months, he was pretty much the vital for the Proteas. In the last two years he took 70+ wickets @ 24.

Wiese is a better batsman though.

Strong SA line up today. Behardien continues to get selected even though he's shown he's not a finisher. Probably a "good bloke selection".

Berhardien was top scorer in domestic 50 over competition. For Titans he normally bats 4. But there aren't such vacancies in the Proteas ODI line up.

For that reason aren't they better off going with a proper finisher or a allrounder? or is berhardien the all rounder?

Good start by taylor, getting that ball to swing late

No proper all rounders around. McLaren has been axed. Parnell keeps getting into the 15 man squad, but he's dreadful.

Unlike Roussow and Miller, Berhardien can bowl decent medium pacers.

Amla and de Villiers leading the fightback. Amla passes 50 and also goes to 5000 ODI runs.

Good to see miller get some time at the crease, coming in before JP.
SA looking to be proactive taking the powerplay early. Could get a massive score if these 2 stay in

Durban faithful, myself included, would've been pretty annoyed if he only came in for 5/6 overs at the end on his home ground(more so after he missed the T20 at Kingsmead).

de Villiers has passed 50, par for the course really, and David Miller has also passed 50 and played really well. Big score looking likely unless the Windies get a few wickets soon.

David Miller goes for a well made 70. Looked very comfortable at #5, maybe he should stay there for the rest of the series. As Duminy has shown in the past to be a decent batsman at #6

South Africa making a hash of the last 15 overs again. Just like they did in the Aus series
