Freddie gets his first run in BBL, also see he has not used the owzat kit using a mish mash of people's kit by the looks of it, would have thought his name would have got him a kit sponsor

Loved his and Gilly's commentary during his innings. So much better than the stuff we get in the domestic T20

Wasn't his first game mate, he played against the thunder. Used the pyro bat then but got a duck

Was watching the speed gun for Freddie.  And he was 126 to 130.

watching philander for sa. and he's 125 to 130.

He may not be as quick as his pop. But still matching other internationals for pace.

Just needs to get swing and accuracy.

He was really slow between the wickets and in the field though, I know he's never been a small lad but he looked like me in the field!

his knee is fooked. He's apparently as fit as ever but anyone who hasn't played cricket for a while will know, that the rusty feeling both in the field and with bat/ball doesn't go that quickly. He just needs to play club cricket while he's out there and play club cricket when back here to get his eye etc back in.

his run up looks shorter but I cant' say I watched his old run up that closely to count steps etc

I think if he does play a few club games in aus and UK he could easily get a few games around the world playing t20. Regardless of performance levels etc he's a big name draw and puts bums on seats

I would imagine the Heat will arrange for him to spend some time playing some club cricket just to get him used to playing again. He is doing ok at the moment but did look all at sea when batting against the slower bouncer

I always find it amazing at pro level it's called a slow bouncer, and that it causes so much trouble. When you try it at club level it's called a long hop and usually ends up in the woods/allotments/road next to the ground!  :-[

He doesn't look in great match form. He deffo needs match practice....... but he took 2 wickets and scored 15 of 19 balls with a six in the big bash 5 years after retirement.

I'm fully fit, quick. In match form. And doubt I'd edge my way to 15 or be given a second over.

shows how much talent he has to come back like this tbh. And if it wasn't for his dire body, you gotta think what England could have done with him for a fair few years.

I dunno, the few guys that are low 80's normally that suddenly bowl a GOOD slower ball bouncer.. are bloody hard to hit it as you are expecting it so quick. I agree that normal 'fast' bowling though when bowled too short is just a long hop that is easy picking. just my 2p's
