Stickers not sticking to the bat?
« on: January 02, 2015, 02:19:12 PM »

I've got a bat which I've oiled on both the face and spine sides of the bat. I want to stick a sticker on the spine but it won't stick. I presume it's because of the oil because extratec has the same problem sometimes. Any suggestions on how I can stick the sticker on without it coming off?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Wait until the oil is dried fully - normally that'll be your issue.

Where did you get the stickers from out of interest? If they're not good quality then that can also cause issues once the bat has been oiled!

I give it about 2 weeks of drying, as well as a full knocking in, before putting stickers on.

Otherwise, they will slide right off. Also, I use 3M spray adhesive. much more effective than PVA.
