New Zealand vs Sri Lanka, Second Test @ Wellington
« on: January 02, 2015, 09:42:24 PM »

Angelo Mathews has won the toss on a rather green pitch an elected to field.

SL have made multiple changes. Rangana Herath, Nuwan Pradeep and Dinesh Chadimal all in. Shaminda Eranga, Niroshan Dickwella and Tharindu Kaushal all axed.

NZ bring in Doug Bracewell for Neil Wagner. Gotta admit I'm a big fan of Bracewell, when he's off the booze and concentrating on his cricket.

Dougie is was an absolute Beer Monster!!

Though I would imagine NZC will be hoping that he stays well away from Jesse Ryder...

This maybe big chat but I reckon he is potentially better than Southee and Boult - when he is fully on it that is!

Would be a shame if Bracewell wasted his career like Ryder has done.

And I agree I ratedd him higher than Southee and Boult. That spell in Hobart was fantastic.

Would have liked to see Milne get a game. He bowled seriously quick in the last odi series!

Like most of the really rapid NZ bowlers, Milne has a fragile body. But I'd like too see Matt Henry get a Test cap.

Quite staggering Hamish Rutherford keeps getting picked despite not offering very much. 171 on debut. Since then in 26 innings he's only scored 507 runs at 20, with 1 fifty.

The team spirit is the main thing. I miss not being able to watch cricket at the basin. a great spectator venue with realistic ticket prices. Go the black caps.

Is that since Jesse Ryder stopped playing, he would've drunk all the team spirit!  :D

There are quite a few dodgy openers around at the minute, playing because they are favourites or simply there is no one else.

That pratt Dhawan from India is the most ordinary IMO.
