Lower middle bat for the new season
« on: January 05, 2015, 08:40:37 PM »

Hi folks

I have been looking to get a lower middle bat for the forthcoming season and stumbled across the GM Octane, and it looks quite nice with the new decals and all that. Can anyone give their opinion on the bat or even recommend any other lower middle bats (no upper budget) that should be put in the hat for consideration?

I have an octane 808. Bought from vitas in the pre order sales.

love it,pick up is good, feels lovely. Love the shape and a huge fan of the flat faced profile.
Handle is seems thicker than previous years octane.
And the stickers are better this year. Lol

@JG I have no shame in admitting I'm shamelessly promoting my own kit at any given opportunity lol  ;)

@smilley792 how is the concaving on the octane, and did yours pick up true to weight or heavier/lighter?

@JB i haven't seen them, are they new for this season?

JG the octane is a great shape which you can't go wrong with. The polaris is also a great shape - really similar to a screaming cat shape. Speak to vitas, one of our sponsors, they stock both!

@JG the Polaris is new for 2015, there were 10 pre order bats made towards the back end of last year. It has a high spine with a small edge and no concaving at all, think toblerone shape. I'll see if I can upload some pictures when I get home for you to see.
