Nope i do not see what your saying???

I have never seen a Ca and i have seen a few and had a few pro ones off my mate and none have been anywhere same size or shape as the Mullanator

Nothing similar concaving or anything it like saying it closer to a Legend by GN??

if you put them side by side you would see a massive difference i have seen this bat and a Ca.

You can not make this bat from a normal sized cleft.

I'll try not to let this take over the thread, but...

There may be a difference in blade width, edge size, spine size and so forth, but it's undeniable that the overall 'shape' is similar, don't make me get home and dust off Photoshop to prove that  ;)

Can we stop with the CA stuff please. There are probably a lot of bats that "might" have a similar profile but probably not the same minimal concaving.

Not sure if you have seen many CA bats , many models have minimal concaving.

Again this whole ca discussion was only an observation that the first thing this shape reminded me was a ca 2015 bat and nothing more than that.

72 mm spine and 40 mm edge size for 2-10 is impressive and all credit to b3 to provide that possibility to consumers.

I guess most of you might want to go to specsavers

Ca 2015 as pictures supplied by 112breakfree

Now the B3 Mull

As i said both have a handle and made out of English willow never judge by it side look at most aspects different toe going through the toe.

Also one has about 7oz extra wood in it yet is only 1-2oz heavier !!!

Reason i get irritated because i know streaky worked with mull for 10 hours or so to get this right.

From the side profile photos they do look like very similar bats but when you look at the profile from the toe up they are very different bats, one is champions league the other scrapes in at league 2.

The B3 with minimal concaving with 40mm+ edges and 70mm+ spine you are simply not going to get a bat like this very often and definitely not off the shelf.

Was this designed specifically with mull in mind Dave or did he pick one up and decided this was his new profile?

He designed it mate specially mate with streaky took ages too and a good few clefts.

It is the biggest spine we have ever done and initial reports he is happy with it. Hard to get low density oversized clefts we struck lucky

We also made a smaller version which i'm considering getting as we can also make a light version of it.

There a few made hopefully get more oversized clefts to make a few more ..

The mullinator versus ca 10000plus

my wooden spoon is placed on the highest point on each bat. And the level shows the spine is much higher on the b3.

Max spine height position is a tad lower on b3 to.

edges. CA has thicker edges at shoulders and toe. B3 has thicker edges at middle(all by a few mm. Not much but still a difference)

CA has the spine continue into the toe. B3 does not.

Similar concaving.

CA is a tad shorter in length. And a not as wide (about 2mm)

Chalk and cheese imo

Mine is just the same as the ones Procricket posted. But a tad heavier cleft.
Think it was one of the test pieces. As it's a lower grade bat and I got it at a great price .

have to say the pick up is ridiculous on it. Feels far too light for me strangely.

Oh and I also ruined it. As I'm running a full fibre scuff sheet.........
