Depends what you do. Addidas for bowling if you wear hard on your feet and Asics for fielding

ehh...so you change shoes between bowling and fielding?

I'm a spin bowler and I  bat mid-low order and normally field close in i.e slips, silly point, covers and midwicket

Yes I do. I'm a Med/fast bowler at about 15 stone I need a decent bowling boot. I open the bowling so go out in my Adidas 22yd mid's and leave the Asics on the boundary to change in to after my spell. The Asics are lovely for fielding but not enough support for bowling. Might just be because I'm heavy on my feet.

If you're a spin bowler or light on your feet then you definitely don't need big bowling boots, I've done two seasons using Asics Gel Advance for everything and they've held up just fine, and I'm 6'3" and when I bowl it's pace (ish haha) off a huge run up.

Don't think they are available untill feb so most retailers will be at or around the same price
give or take a pound or two

I'm hoping that last years model then goes stupidly cheap when the new ones are available!
Really tempted to try a pair of Nike's but can't justify paying full price with 2 perfectly serviceable pairs of Asics  :-[

I am in need of new shoes also. My adidas 22yds have served well for last 4 seasons or whatever the black stripes year was.

I will try to find a shop which stocks most brands just to try on size before ordering online [unless the shop price is better].
