North Sydney, January 2010
« on: November 22, 2009, 07:23:55 PM »

Chaps, just booked 3 weeks in Sydney, around Pymble, for the first 3 weeks in January. I want to train and if possible play for a local club, at a decent standard.

does anyone have any contacts out there?

Also looking to go to the SCG for the test- anyone been there out of interest?

Hads, I am staying in Pymble, yes, but with my wife and baby boy, not with a group of lads. What are they out there for? On tour or playing at clubs?

Do you know any clubs in that part of the world?

Mate I know a million but I really doubt ull find any who will go through the effort of registering overseas players etc, just for you to play 1 game ( if you are available for 3 weeks over here, you are only available for one match as we play two day matches.

As well as that most strong clubs already have there max number of 3 overseas. You would however be welcome to train with any clubs around Pymble such as Northern Districts, Macquarie Uni, Gordon, Pennant Hills or Epping.

I guess the other thing you could do is go down to a club not tell them you are levaing in 3 weeks, just play 1 game for there 5ths and go.

thanks Hads, I spoke to a guy from Gordon who echoed all of that, so I guess I will look to train and catch a few rays basically! Maybe try and get a friendly midweek game or something.
