Goes to show that just because it's ugly doesn't mean it's bad. Used that methodology a lot when younger  :D

I recently picked up a few sponsored players bats as I was observing them train and most of them looked like that. Most also had that ugly fibre sheets on them. I suspect that only the top international players get to pick their bats.

Obviously they don't have the advantage of getting hand picked bats from CBF sponsors ;)
as per some bat makers 7/8 grains is the perfect number

Looks lovely to me! I prefer 5-9 grains personally but each to their own.

Looks a perfect grade 1 bat to me. More than 7 evenly spaced grains....

Grains look defined and evenly spaced but pretty squint across the blade, would be pooh pooh if someone on here bought a grade 1 and that turned up.
