square cutting Metal stumps not advised! What's course off action is advised to repair? If repairable.

Depends on if the wood has been cut out or squashed a little. Maybe able to glue back on ok or may leave a small hole depending on the state of the cut. Happy to take a look for you mate if you wish.

I've repaired similar damage using pre-pressed willow plugs. The hardest bit is getting a grain and colour match for the plug.

I did exactly the same with a brand new � 200.00 GN went back over the metal stumps in the nets playing a late cut and took a chunk out repaired mine with a mixture of glue and wood filler only used it for a couple of innings after repair as was always conscious of it during batting ended up putting it in the club kit bag

Get the scuff sheet off, glue the piece back in, use a mallet to get it in there as best you can, give it a sand so its level, strip of tape and new scuff sheet. Job done (I may be being slightly optimistic!)
