Scale Grips - which way up?
« on: January 18, 2015, 02:12:14 PM »

Gents...

This sounds like a silly question but it's annoying me...

Bought some H4L NV grips recently and with the Black, Grey, Green combo, however, the direction of the scales seems different to the pics on the H4L website.

Regardless, my question is does it make any difference to the amount of grip which way up or down the scales are or is it just personal preference when the gloves are on?

I told you it sounds silly but appreciate any comments/views...

I always put mine on with the curvy bit of the scales at the top if that makes sense.
Don't think it really matters though

Just have it the same as the original would look.ie. Green at bottom. I got ocd like this when I purchased a new oblivion white black white grip.

I always put scale grips with the round bits facing down.  That way it stops your hands moving up the handle :)

Or presumably, stick them the other way round to stop your hands moving down the handle?  :D

I've just looked at some Gray Nicolls bats in their ebay store and they have their scale grips on both ways round. It would appear it doesn't matter to them!

Lol whatever way you feel benefits you! Prefer chevrons as first choice

I get ur point but imagine the scales are meant to face up or down based on whoever created it, so just curious how other scale users prefer theirs...

You've got to try these H4L NV ones... the feeling/grip is superb.. just the right mix of stretchiness/rubberiness... hard to describe....I use mine as a 2nd grip...
