Hi all and i would like to say thank you to bash at Penine cricket for donating a super set of cricket gear to the Devon Disabled cricket team. A big thank you from everyone down here in Devon. As we are setting up a disabled cricket team down here in Devon so everyone can get a game!! I will post regular updates on the forum and lots of photos on the forum too and on the Devon cricket board website of all the Kit donated in action being used by the disabled cricketers. This is a first and we are begging and borrowing kit from everywhere so all get a game as we don't have any  money yet!!! So to all who read this get digging in your cupboards and garage and dig out that old kit we can find it a good home down here in Devon in the hands of someone who can make use of it. And bash once again thank you so much!!!

And its great that the companys are helping out!!!! And shame on the big faceless multi nationals who claim to support grass roots cricket when all they do is take from the sport if the truth is known. As i tell you guys i wrote, emailed them and phoned them and they all said no thanks!!! Some even claimed to support charitable organisations that supply kit bags to cricket clubs for the disabled, i spoke the charitable organisations and they told me point blank the big multi national did not support themor never had supported them in the past either. And come on guys dig in your kit bags find that old kit and send it on down. i will be posting pic on the devon cricket board website of the open day and on here too when i figure it out!!!! Just think of the buzz you will get when you see the  smile on your fave of someone not so fortunate as you with a big smile on your face useing your old gear!!!

Hi again Keysersolze

I haven't finished sorting through my old gear yet, to see what I can send.
I assume you need as much gear as possible by 5th December as thats when you have the open day ???

Perry - i hope that your newly embarked upon endeavour works out well for all those involved. I currently play alongside a young lad who represents Somerset Disabled team and he seems to really enjoy it alongside league cricket. Whats the new centre like, is it similar to the Somerset indoor centre?

pretty much identical to the indoor centre at the county ground in Taunton, though one less lane i think, and a few of the somerset team are comeing down to help out with the opne day julian bellew a definite. What i dont think people realise at their will be disabled cricket at test match level soon and we are talking to the paralympics and olympic guys now too. And i hope it works but we are getting shafted by the MP's and the mdia in general as we are not newsworthy we have been told!!!! I bet if Jordan attended it would get publicity. Anyone got her e mail adress she has a disabled little boy maybe she would help us get some media coverage!!!!
