I always use wet wipes. Just don't leave them too long before wiping them down, the longer the stain dries the harder it is to get out.

@TangoWhiskey Any advice on the cleaning the bat grip dye from gloves? Wore new SS Pittards for 7 minutes in the nests, and my green handled M&H transferred a horrendous blue green stain in no time. I think I might have to go to white grips, and I know it is only aesthetics but it is very annoying - think it might be the leather as much as the grip.

I can't say I have tried getting them out to be honest. I probably wouldn't use wet wipes or anything water based as water tends to ruin glove palms. Perhaps try a leather cleaner?

Anyone tried getting linseed oil out of pittards leather? Left a rogue bottle of oil in the same pocket of my bag as my main gloves and I now can't grip the bat handle at all  :(
