Cricket balls in bulk for T20 or 30 over games.
« on: January 29, 2015, 03:34:19 AM »

What would be a good source to get decent balls at a good price?
Any reliable sources from India or Pakistan to get them?
I am looking to get around 125 to 150 of them and looked at Alibaba and found some sources but I am not sure of the quality I would get.

If any of you have worked with an offshore please recommend.

Are you buying for the whole league?

I will strongly suggesting sampling a couple first.

I would try a few first mate to make sure they are not bat breakers as you would not want to break your bats or others

Yes buying for the whole league as we want consistency across all games. Yes we are looking to sample before placing the entire order. We have samples from an Indian and a Pakistani brand and they were strictly okay.

Always worth cutting into a ball to see what they have in to check your getting what you pay for

Customs will take care of that for you. ;-)

As long as they do it to a couple and not most of them.

We had it on average 1.5 balls per box (of 6) cut up by customs. Balls were purchased from Amit (i12breakfree) and shipped from Pakistan i think, Amit was great to send us replacements for the cut up balls. I think those were reasonably priced and not bat breakers but got pretty soft by the end of 20 overs.

Happy to deal in bulk quantities for balls.

I recommend Tiflex to anyone, happy to work with a brand of your choice. Won't compete with a $5 Pakistani ball on price but you may as well just paint a rock red, you'll probably get the same outcome ;)

Agreed that our budget is a bit limited but I am working with the league committee to increase it to get reliable balls and other equipment.

@tejasapatel any company with a good quality product and serious about business will also charge you for samples if you are looking at getting samples first but you can usually strike a deal where they will refund you the price they charged you for samples if you proceed with the full order. Its their way to safeguard against people just trying to get stuff for free and pretty fair I think, only saying this because sometimes committees think samples are free!!

For these scenarios I would just put money out of my pocket and keep the balls for indoors and catching practice.

Doesn't Jason from Cricket Store sell his own branded balls now?
