Refurb ready for the season
« on: January 30, 2015, 03:00:41 PM »

As my favourite 3lb beast was looking s bit tatty I decided I owed it a refurb as it is a lovely piece of willow and has been fantastic over the last few seasons. The bat is a Newbery a Grizzly 3lb 2oz with 2 x grips on.
Instead of sending it off in the post back to Hove, I decided to pop to Hawk who are just down the road from me.
Along with a full returb, the bat required a small repair to the inside edge. An extra layer of protective tape has been applied. The repair is brilliant. A top job.
Somehow it's profile looks smaller without the original graphics!
There has always been a debate about performance over looks and grains on some occasions don't count for much.
Believe me, this bat looks great but goes even better!
A week turn around from Hawk in a pretty busy period is good going I'd say.

Cheers, the blue room is 3lb 4oz with 2 x grips on. Picks up way lighter. I'm going to give it more of an outing this season but the newbery just pings so sweet!
