Hafeez doesn't belong in the ODI team - too slow an opener. This seems like a propitious turn of events. If Ajmal walks in, who opens for Pak? U Akmal?

It may subtly depend on whether Hafeez can bowl or not - results due this week I think

They could send Misbah opening that'd give enough time time to warm-up :D

Maybe that would be better for him since he batted under pressure most of his career due to  people like Hafeez screwing up the top order!

With some luck Younus K will also pack his bags for a bright test career leaving the #3 spot for Fawad Alam.

Does it have to be like for like replacement? If not, it seems like an easy way in for Ajmal

Younus is a good player but I agree Fawad Alam  should have been picked he had a gd year. He can bowl and he's a good fielder. Can't understand why   pakistani selectors didn't pick him

I think Mohammad Hafeez's absence is wholly due to his action because he is futile without his bowling, that was only facet that retained him in the side for past few years. Now he doesn't have that, he is trivial, hence, a replacement called?

Or he wanted more time to work on his action so he can come out clean and be in the side.
