New helmet recommendations
« on: February 08, 2015, 03:35:13 PM »

Took a blow to my helmet old Ayrtek.

So in the market for a new helmet budget about £50 any recommendations?

IF they've still got some I'd go for a Sports Direct Albion, can't go wrong for the price.

The new Gray-Nicolls Atomic would be a good option. Conforms to the new safety standards and is really comfortable too.

All this for less than £40.

I have always used an Albion. They are not the coolest or best looking but to me they are comfortable, light and decent protection.

Not sure what you can get for your money but it's certainly my choice.

Going to disagree with Joel here.

I'd say they are the one of the best looking helmets on the market, especially the cloth coloured ones. You can then add funky coloured screws and ear pads, if that's not cool I don't know what is!  ;)

The only thing I'd your head overheats, but that's something you get with every helmet, and my albion ultimate 98 is as good as anything I've used for staying cool for as long as possible

Eat pads are very similar to ear pads, the only difference is that they're bought by people with fat thumbs who don't proof read things before posting  ;)
