If you dont mind me asking why did you go and get a hand made bat and leave with it not to your weight specs?
Good question - I keep wondering that myself. We tried two different clefts (ie Tony started shaping one but decided it wasn't going to get down to 2'10'') and I re-iterated several times that I wanted something around 2'10''. Tony preferred not to take too much wood off ('you can't put it back on', which makes sense). He got it to 2'9, naked weight. with string, two grips, stiockers and scuff sheet it came out at 2'13.5''. It picks up nicely with the high middle but now it is home, it feels a lot heavier than my previous bat (at 2'10''). I keep pondering whether to remove one of the grips (weight at the handle, counterbalance and all that, I know) and maybe the scuff sheet.
