Gray Nicolls or Kookaburra Thigh Pad?
« on: February 15, 2015, 10:58:03 PM »

I need your opinions on which thigh pads I should buy as the one I got now is a bit old and past it's time.
Thanks  :)

I would recommend aero strippers. I've used them for 7 years, albeit on my 3rd pair as I've grown and they can get a bit tired after 2/3 seasons use.  Well worth the money for comfort and protection though.

Aero Strippers are excellent and available in the P1 and P2 options. The Kookaburra all in one's are also very good and again available in the Pro 500 and Player options.

Personally I'd recommend the Aero Strippers

Having had a set of custom Strettons I went back the the aeros as I felt more comfortable in them. Don't get me wrong, the strettons are a quality product, and if you can afford them if say give them a go, but after using them for a season they weren't for me.

My wife bought me the kooks, if she had consulted me I would have said aero but having worn the kooks in nets they are a great fit for me and really comfy. I'm not sure on the protection level but I'm not facing 90mph so they will be fine for my standard.

So many thigh pads, so little time.

Go with the blank bats ones...! Actually the bas ones are good too.
