CBF V My club (West Suffolk) 27th August 2015
« on: February 18, 2015, 04:21:49 PM »

Evening chaps,

There is a chance of a fixture becoming available during our cricket week, believe it might be the last week in August.
And I thought I would see would it be possible for a CBF team to be able to ful fill this potential fixture,
I would hope it would work in similar way to that of the stone game, with us supplying a lunch, tea and probably a bbq after, obviously at a small cost to you boys to cover it a bit slightly!
It would be at woolpit, suffolk. So could be an easier one for some of the northerners on here as its not to bigger journey,

Comment below if interested and any questions and will see what happens

Cheers
Lee

I can discuss the matter with other admin if it helps. Ultimately it comes down to somebody organising it. If you can up with specific dates and costs then we can discuss internally.

Hi All,

Subject to some admin discussions, we are looking at availabiity for this fixture. To avoid all the normal questions here's a quick FAQ:-

Q - Where is West Suffolk?
A - waiting for a google map link (Tommo)

Q -  What type of game is it?
A - An all day game, format to be confirmed.

Q - How much does it cost?
A - 25 per person, including lunch, tea and supper. This is required upfront via paypal to me, no later than a month before the game. Non-payment means being dropped. Non-refundable if you drop out as well (consider it an admin fee/incentive to get a new player).

Q - What is the standard like?
A - TBC

Q - Any nearby batmakers to visit?
A - Tommo to answer that one

All this considered, please let me know if you are interested in playing. In the first instance I just want to know if we have enough interest in getting a team together.

I am planning some sort of curry for lunch, a normal cricket tea and then a bbq for supper with salads and the works!

No real batmakers near by, but B&S are only up the road and I could have a word with Gary and see what can be done!

There is also a travel lodge around 5 miles away so, and around 25 quid a room!

I'd be up for this one chaps - a bit of a trek but far more doable than the south coast. Would be happy to meet up with fellow cbf members to share a ride locally or on the way.

Cheers

I will see if I can get David at Norfolk Bats or Chris from Blenheim to pop by if this goes ahead.

Evening gents, I have been asked by Tommo to organise the CBF team for this fixture. If you are interested in playing, can you write in this thread stating if you are a batsman/bowler/specialist fielder etc. :D I realise that a few people have confirmed an interest already, can you do so again please.
