I'm in a minority agreeing with @Buzz that pads should be worn buckles to the outside. Have always done this and Gray-Nicolls pads have an extra wide front pad, buckles outside straps inside!!

Do they? I'll have to check mine now.
And the way I bat, the extra wide pad will be better on the back leg as I clear the front one and swing like a rusty gate anyway!

Wandering a bit more off the topic (I see that the discussion is not on the subject anymore), just wanted to check if these pads are available nowadays.

Puma still sell them in Aus at the GCCC as their highest end model. The type BMac wears.

The pads pictured were made by Funky, I think the model was F-Lite.
I don't think they make them any more though, so they may be difficult to track down

Yes, I remember now. I had written to them and they wrote back saying that they no longer make it.

Actually BM uses the 3 strap version whereas the pads that GCCC / KSC sell are 2 strap versions. I exchanged a few emails with Puma Australia & they also said they would not be able to supply 3 strap versions.

You know if they're any good? Just seen them on sale for £28 online, sorely tempted.
