Beautiful willow and beautiful shape.

I'm going for something around 2.9 on this one.

343 is a light cleft so I'm going for 2.78 in long blade just a total guess Tim

I say it is 2-9.

@tim2000s  How high is the spine on this?
High Enough!!! To be honest, I have no idea. It wasn't part of my request to Streaky. We had a number of discussions about shape, before I settled on a modification of the 1271 to a long blade as, based on recommendations from others, the shape has a great pick-up (proven to be true) and given the cleft, a 1271 was coming out  at the weight I wanted. Spine height makes little difference when there is as much wood in the blade as this has, with no concaving. When you hold it it just feels (and looks) like a massive hunk of wood!

Well considering a normal 400 cleft 1271 is 2-15 and a quarter.

This was 343 which is a full 57 so take away 5.7 ounce which would make it 2-9 and a bit.

Then add the long blade weight then it will be around that.

I honestly though people understood the plus or minus 10 from 400 is a ounce either side.

I guarantee though it picks up around 2-8 maybe just maybe I have been picking a few up in the last few days.

This shape has the 2nd biggest volume of wood in it we currently make and is idea for players who want a massive coverage. It a shape I have used exclusively in matches for the last two years due to this and it does help with off centre shots.

Makes me want another this one

Out of interest, which has the most volume? (And, yes, it feels like a big bat... Did I say that already?  :D)

Well, the 343 had its first net today. But onto that in a bit.

Prior to the net, I thought that I'd paid enough for it that I really should knock the bat in. I'm normally a bit rubbish at this, so I started off trying to roll the edges on the bath. When I realised I was making no discernible difference, I got the mallet out.

I bashed the edges and the toe, then moved onto the middle. The thing that stood out for me was the complete lack of denting with the mallet. B3 hadn't to my knowledge knocked the bat in, but it appeared not to to need it.

Having spent at most 15 mins on this, I thought, "Stuff it" and just took it to nets.

I had a 20 minute net and the first 15 minutes were truly awful. I was timing nothing, not really hitting it and looking awful. Then something clicked and the bat and I came to life. I nailed one cover driven out of it so hard that I broke the stumps at the other end.

The shape really does have a massive middle, and having got used to it, wow! This will be my match bat this season.  The result of the latest 5 mins was that it got a lot of attention when I came out of the net. I'm very pleased, both with the bat and that I didn't have to knock it in, which is truly amazing!

This is what the blade looked like post net:

There are almost no seam marks. Astonishing!

Wouldn't that be a straight drive...... ;)

Given I was driving on the on side for it to be a cover drive would have been even more of a mishit.....

Gorgeous bat tim, very jealous. I'm really interested to know about the B3 pressing, is this 'ready to play' state the norm across all grades? If it is, it is surely a huge selling point.

B3 must have changed the way bats are pressed. Like you i thought i would actually knock  mine in after spending more than i normally would on a bat. So did what I thought was a pretty good job at knocking her in, took her to nets for some throw downs last Saturday and came home with seem marks all over the blade. Picked up a new much better mallet and started knocking her in again. Took her to nets yesterday and no seem marks. :) She now goes like a train and sounds like a 50cal  :D
