So I guess he must be an ok Wicketkeeper? Same basic movements and skills etc.

You'd think so, although I'm sure a pro batsman with a decent pair of hands should be able to keep fairly well? There's a fair few who've acted as a back up keepers in one dayers/tests.

Anyone can look a competent keeper stood back, it's when they're standing up you can judge if they're decent or not
