New stick
« on: March 20, 2015, 09:00:06 PM »

Picked up this beauty from owzat scarbrough today. 2.8 with 38 mm edge and 54 mm spine with minimal concaving. Feels great in the hand and 15 beautiful grains. Now for the bad part cost £380. Overall really happy with purchase and service.
Anyway pics

Tapped up with a mallet in the shop and have been tapping up with a ball in the garden this afternoon. Definatly seems to be pinging off very nicely. Finishing on the bat is very good aswell

Must say I am impressed with gm bats this year seem not to be really hard pressed like they use to which is a real plus this year

For £380 everyone is aware of what you can get elsewhere, however, if I was gunna spend that amount on a GM bat, thats exactly how I'd like it to look! Love the small strip of heartwood! I haven't ever paid that much before, but I definitely wouldn't have passed that up on the shelf!

So would you say that it's still firmer than you would like do you think it will need a lot off playing in or not

That's the main thing if it feels good in your hand that will help in the middle as your trust the bat in your hand

Even though it says ready to play im definatly going to knock it in more and play it in  in the nets. Dont think it long to open up but just seems quite firm.

Lovely bat. For that price, I'd spend proper time knocking and playing it in - you don't want a dinged toe or cracks before its prepared and match ready!
