Raw Cricket
« on: March 26, 2015, 09:05:22 PM »

Hi guys,

Do any of you have any experience with Raw Cricket bats? I'm a club cricketer and in need of a new toy.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

I had one last year, made by a well known bats maker!

No, but HUNTing for them might help

If i was guessing i would say that @SaughallCC has some connection with RAW cricket, i may be cynical but I've been on the forum long enough to see this happen numerous times.

New member, first post about a brand that doesn't get any exposure on the forum...seems a coincidence to me.

Got you!  :D
I'd be more tempted to speak to Jake about a £175 custom to save a few quid personally then  ;)

Genuinely nothing to do with them. I knew who made them before I posted but was hoping for some decent feedback from likeminded people. Found the forum while typing in bat related searches.

I've had an Insignia custom Classic for about 5-6 years now maybe and it's been handy.

Thanks again.

Check out the link I posted - Tommo clearly thought they were good last year. The company has survived a season of trading and so must be doing something right.  Important thing is do you prefer the Raw branding or a stag's head.

Yea I had a look thanks. It's interesting. So basically don't waste my money? I've got about £200 to spend and heard good things about them from another member at our club.

If that's what you want then I'd go to Jake @ Vitas, you'd get a custom made one for less than that. Hunts do make some lovely bats, very underrated IMO

I can second vitas's incredible customer service. The flipside is, do you prefer the Raw branding. Something a bit different. Some similar themes to New Balance but you know what is under the sticker is a class bat. Not that I am for a moment suggesting there is anything wrong with New Balance. The final point for me would be which one would fill you with more confidence when at the crease and help you focus on the ball?

Being a designer its hard not to like the branding but I'm trying to get away from that!

I'm just after a fun bat which is different to everyone else's. I'm not overly knowledgable about bats these days so was more after some guidance if possible. Raw were just mentioned and in budget.
