Cricket centre
« on: March 30, 2015, 08:09:16 PM »

Hi there,
My first post here so didn't know where to put it. Basically I wanted a pair of puma evospeed 1 wc pads. Apparently they weren't available in the uk so I ordered a pair from Australia, from the Greg Chappell cricket centre. This was two weeks ago, straight after I got an email saying my credit card payment has been returned and can I pay by bank transfer instead. Okay I did that. Payment went through last Tuesday but I haven't heard anything from them since despite sending them a few emails. I appreciate they might've been busy with the sales and the World Cup but I don't know where I stand atm and what to do next?
Anyone had any experience with them before?

I've used them a couple of times for a pair of gloves and a bat. They seem to remain pretty quiet towards emails as i contacted them on a few occasions to no reply, but i always received the stuff i ordered in good time despite where it was coming from and i live in Northern Ireland.

Hope this helps.

I'll back that up. Gear always arrives (domestically) in quick time but communication seems to be somewhat lacking.

I have sent about a million emails...never once replied. I live in Australia and went to their shop a few times they had some good stuff but i have to say everything that they had was overpriced. Better to buy online and get a custom made bat to your specs for half the price, then pay pay double in my opinion. There are some really good batmakers on this forum.

Strange that they are so poor at answering emails. I shop in person at the one in melbourne regularly and a staff member always seems to be in the office on a computer. I'm not sure where their general emails go to though. You might have better luck getting their attention via twitter or facebook.

Even contacting by phone has been pretty poor in my experience. I needed a refund on an online purchase and the whole process was poorly handled IMHO.

I will say they have had some great gear available at more reasonable prices with the recent end of season sale. I bough a heap of gear.

Well an update...
Got an email from Australia post a few days after posting here saying my package had been dropped off.
It's finally reached here today with a hefty 32 quid parcelforce fee (which I expected).
What I didn't expect was that they've sent me Puma Evospeed 1 pads. I can get these anywhere in the UK!
I had ordered the Evospeed 1 SE WC edition pads. They don't look like each other at all!
I'll have to get them to respond somehow now to figure out a replacement.
I'll have to look at contacting them through Facebook.
Sigh.. Been such a pain this...

Final update, for whoever concerned...
Emailed them telling them you've sent me the wrong pads. They ignored it at first.. I resent the email a couple of times. Got a reply saying send us pictures. They then claimed those are the pads you should have recieve. Maybe they think I'm dumb or blind but the pictures on their website look nothing like what I've received. It's like they've sent me a BMW 3 series when I ordered a 5 series and are saying it's the same!
Essentially they've sent me evospeed 1s which are available on prodirectcricket. The evospeed 1s SE are flextech pads, kinda like their iridiums. I mean the pads they've sent me say Evospeed 1 on it whereas the pictures on their website say evospeed 1 SE. Number of straps is different. Everything is different.
I can't be bothered with them anymore.
Anyone want a pair of evospeed 1s? Haha

Shame that's happened. Personally I would take to socia media and highlight the issue.
