Masuri Vision Test helmet Grill
« on: April 06, 2015, 11:24:18 AM »

I am having problems with my Masuri Vision Elite helmets grill as discussed here http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=34187.0

So I was thinking maybe I could swap out the grill with a grill on a Masuri Vision Test, but I have looked everywhere for replacement grills. I guess this is something which you can not readily buy? or maybe I do not know where to look.

They aren't sold separately I'm afraid.

The Elite provides a bigger gap than the Test, with that in mind i would advise persevering with it and as i suggested in your other topic, wearing it at a different angle if you are able to see both bars, because if worn correctly you shouldn't be seeing 2.

The idea is the 2 bars line up and you see them as one.

If you see two, it is either not being worn properly, or you have a bizzarre shaped head?(could be just huge, really tiny, or cone shaped?)

I do not understand wearing it correctly, it will only fit one way on my head, there are no adjustments i can make to the helmet or my head. Therefore the only conclusion is bizarre shaped head :-(

This is incorrect, here the grille sits too high on the eyeline and both bars are visible. Pushing the peak lower down and looking into the distance (where the bowler is coming from) until the 2 bars line up is the correct way for it to sit on your head, as pictured below.

Don't forget that the ratchet adjuster at the back is deigned to sit OUTSIDE the helmet like this.

Here's an out-take
