Smudged TON stamps
« on: April 11, 2015, 07:21:44 PM »

Evening all

Another SS post about my master! The felt tip pen stamps (which apparently don't feature on newer sticks) smudged a bit (you can notice it up close but it's not too horrendous) and I keep accidentally touching the stamp and leaving felt tip finger prints over the bat.

This is annoying and looks not very good, so my currently covering the letters with PVA glue. If it works then great, if not you won't be able to tell I've done it anyway.

Will (maybe) update on how this goes.

In progress

Hope it works Cam.

I think someone also suggested clear nail varnish as a possible solution?

Maybe white spirit first applied to a soft cloth.

Cam - don't be such a bumder about smudgy edge-marks!! Get out there and use the thing, you'll soon fill that area with cherries anyway :)

I used my SS LE in the nets today and there was a nice cherry right on one of the stamps actually, so I won't try to deny that will be the case  :-[

Update

I managed to find some nail varnish so gave that a go.

It's shiny but you only notice up close, and definitely not smudgy any more  :D
