Ton legacy Elite
« on: April 28, 2015, 09:38:16 AM »

Did not have a game on Saturday due to the opposition not able to raise a team went to watch a local club and was asked to umpire  one of the visitors   openers  came out to bat with a Ton Legacy he had brought from the factory shop in India personally I am not a big fan of sub continent made bats in case they lack the correct amount of moisture but this was was one of the best bats I have ever seen great  sounding  ping he said it was 2lb 12 but picked up so light  with only a little  concaving the ball flew off the blade including off centre shots  13 ruler straight grains no blemishes. The guy said it was the first time he had used it in a match He scored 124 with it against the new ball.

I have one if these that I got from Jake @ vitas, stunning bat. Just a shame I have only had 1 game this season so far.

I've got a mate whose got a few Ton bats and they all pick up beautifully, his old man does a lot of work in India and seems to always bring back a pearl.

SS bats are good, they press them nicely compared with other sub - continent bats

Due to my alcoholic intake, I seem to have ended up with 2 TON / SS bats - both pick up superbly and have minimal concaving. Initial tapping up seems very promising.

I'm a bit of a fan of SS

They do look nice but too much of a bow for me I'm afraid.  :(

SS have always gone well for me regardless of the grade. Lower end bats that perform really well.

I have just acquired one of these and the bat is fantastic! Brilliant grain structure with excellent ping. What I like most about the bat is the pick up. Very impressed.

I've never been a fan of SS branding (stickers etc.), but they do seem to go really well. Might have to pick one up for myself!
