I'm surprised how many people don't know who Ansari is, I've known of him for at least 3 years now but I would have never considered him as England material but hopefully he'll prove us all wrong.

Got Pieterson out playing for Cambridge and then got into the 1st team for Surrey on the back of that. Hasn't really set the world alight since but his tweakers are decent. Also opened in every form for Surrey I believe so could be one of a few spinning all rounders we need to invest in heavily, Borthwick would've been a better pick in my opinion.

Willey above Bresnan I'd expect, quite possibly Rashid as well. Vince and Taylor may also perhaps switch given it would put them both closer to their county roles, however if there's the view of Taylor at number 3 for England perhaps not.

im surprised by lewis gregory's selection. i do like the guy and have watched him a few times as a somerset supporter. he always seems to get wickets can be a bit expensive. also gives the ball a good whack and should score some handy lower order runs.

dont expect him to play though

Wood may well be "the pick" though I heard a rumour he might be playing the test in Barbados.  If so, I'd quite like to see them play Ansari - he isn't "ready" now but he's a tidy one day spinner, good bat (especially as a late overs scamperer) and decent fielder.  It gives him incentive to work at it...

Bresnan I'll defend - fit for the first time in nearly four years he's bowling really well for Yorkshire and is always a good batting option down t'order.  Also, unlike Finn and Willey, he controls the white ball without resorting to side seam.

Looks decent, what's happened to Overton these days though?

For all you Footitt fans - saw him bowling at Glos for a few overs in the evening session today, looked rrrrrrrapid from behind the keeper, plus moved it. Certainly a cut above most of the rest of div 2!
