RS bat
« on: April 29, 2015, 03:40:11 PM »

Just picked this up. At work so don't have time for a review but some quick measurements

Edge 40 mm exact
Spine 71 mm exact
Concaving absolutely none
Weight 2.7lbs or 2lb 11oz

Nice grains, finishing above average for an Indian made. Huge bat and happy with the feel, picks up like its weight. Handle is oval but on the thin side so will feel better after I put on a ripple grip. Face seems to have some minor cracks running parallel to the grains, sort of the ones you get when knocking in a bat, that you can see but when you run your hand over the face you can feel them and then have to look really close to see it. Definitely does not feel dry. Apologies for the poor pic quality. More details on rebound etc over the weekend when I take the mallet to her. Overall great for the price.

Looks a lovely stick. Never owned an Indian made bat, always unsure about the pressing of the blade and quality of the willow but this looks great.

Nice bat Tushar. Big bat and nice clean face. If it's 2.7 it would be the biggest bat for that weight I've seen.

Nice finish and a great looking bat! Don't like the neon-style sticker though.

2-7 or 2-11? Why such variance in the feel of the weight. The bat has a full profile, I'd be surprised if it is 2-7.

Think he means 2.7lbs or 2lbs 11oz
So it's a 2.11 basically haha
Lovely bat mate

Thats a lovely shape, quite keen on the stickers too. Not sure why but the overall result of shape etc reminds me of Puma.

Robinsons make good bats - sometimes a little soft-pressed, but good bats.

Yes it is 2lbs and 11oz and got confirmation that they hand knocked the bat which would explain the small small surface cracks. As for puma shape I don't know as the only one I have seen lately is heavily concaved chromium model for 6000 model

Pings well off a mallet Amit, Definitely needs more knocking but what pleased me the most was I put a coat of Oil on her (very very light by my standards) and it has take 2 full days to absorb be completely which I am happy about as it seems like its not dry at all. I definitely need to get another grip on it, bounced the ball on it last night and was happy some very very minor seam marks but nothing major.

Lovely looking bat that Tush, love the matured grains on this one, lately I have seen lot of top/higher grade Indian made bats having these more matured grains, the ones I have seen certainly perform well.
