Is this low, mid or high middle?
« on: May 02, 2015, 01:44:53 AM »

My mate ordered a Laver after seeing, feeling and using mine. It has just arrived and I'd like opinions whether you think this is has a low, mid or high middle?

These are the only pics I have at the moment but to me I think you can tell the middle position.

How tall is your friend? Lot of tall batters are ok with low or mid-low sweet spots.

After giving all his details to Laver they recommended high middle and this is what he received. With no contact from the time he made payment

Get him to roll the grip down a bit to double check it is his. Should have his name written on it and weight.

Looks mid to low, but I'm surprised it picks up bottom heavy, as I've always found the pickup on there bats to be good

Has he played with the bat yet?

When he says "high", what does he mean ? 11 inches from the toe? 8 inches from the toe?

After all the bats I have bought, I have come to believe that only bat that satisfies my definition of a high middle is a Millichamp & Hall Amplus ( now " MH09" ). The bat pings everywhere though.

Seems like a long sweetspot, could be a case of offset edges.

From the 2nd pic it looks like the spine is about 1 cm up from those two brown blemishes. If this is the case then its mid, Its not a high mid. If he's not happy get in touch with them, they will fix the issue no problems at all.

Man that's a beautiful bat though.

What weight is it?
Looks like they've tried to pack plenty of meat in the hitting area.
It is quite a bottom heavy looking bat, but I'm sure it's a lovely bat

The edges are offset to the middle which may make it feel a little toe heavy.
