Special pro clefts
« on: May 09, 2015, 11:00:49 AM »

I was very fortunate to have 3 pro clefts made available to me I decided to get them shaped in the profiles we are thinking of doing in 2016 All three have been sold  this is what I have had sent back to me one customers description was its not a bat but a weapon the other two have requested another bat each (easier said than done ) at £350.00 and possibly having access to 15 - 20 units max next year is it worth doing a Elite Pro model ?

I am not your target market, but whenever I see Pro reserve, G1+++ limited to 25 units a year etc, I just think its marketing bumf. I would make them on a need to know/ special request basis. Otherwise it just seems like a proper gimmick which I am sure its not, :)

For sure there is room for premium products in market. As a brand its good to have one top level premium product in you line up. Obviously you will ensure those are the best looking and best playing bats and may be provide some special accesories along with..like fully padded / boxed bat cover etc , laser engraving custom for the buyer , free post season TLC etc.
Go for it as there is always demand for such products ..may not be here on the forum but for sure in the outside world

Pro cleft is just a name I gues what it is an  exceptionally light big edge cleft with fantastic ping not sure how long they will last but having seen the performance of them first hand they are exceptional and that's not a marketing ploy they are different to my 5 stars bats performance your suggestion of a need to know special request product will be the route to go down I will ask trusty Dusty to put a few pictures up

^ How are they pressed?

I recently saw a "pro" bat (for a current test player) and that bat is pressed very soft. It is also a low density/very light cleft. Gun bat.

Yes that's exactly what the pros get.

Having seen one of the ones Gary has in stock atm, it is unbelieveable. not necessarily the best looking for grains but the pick up and ping is superb!
