Need advise on cricket bat toe damage
« on: May 20, 2015, 10:44:27 AM »

hello,

Need advise on fixing my cricket bat. during the net sessions i ended up damaging my SG triple crown bat toe.
edge and along with the 3 inches of the bat cracked open. the bat has 1/4 of its toe missing along with its edge. now i have lost the piece of willow was was ripped off from the bat.
this bat has been my fav. and do not want to discard it. the remaining bat is intact and perfect in condition. any suggestions how can i get this repaired ? Please advise.

If you don't have the missing piece you'll need a piece of donor willow.

It a complicated job, the break will need to be trimmed to a neat finish to allow the donor willow to marry up to it nicely. Without photos it is very difficult to predict the outcome.
