Potentially looking for a club in Worcestershire
« on: May 22, 2015, 09:13:11 PM »

Hi all,

Probably left it a bit late as its nearly June, but I am looking to get back into the game after nearly 10 years out - I'm nearing 25 now and haven't played since I left school.

I've no idea what standard I will be able to play at now, I was 'okay' at school but obviously that counts for nothing now!

Ideally I'd like to find somewhere in Worcestershire where I could maybe just come and have a bowl in the nets for a bit, and work out if I have something to offer a team. Goes without saying I am fully expecting to start at the bottom!

If anyone could accommodate me at nets (or even just let me bowl at them for half an hour) that would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

DC

Hi DC
My village club is based in Worcestershire we can offer you a match on Saturdays regardless of ability as we don't have many players.
We are away tomorrow at Romsley and at home next week to Highley please pm me if you are interested and I will answer any questions you may wish to ask.
Alan.

Hi @DC

Plenty of clubs in Worcestershire. Where abouts do you live as that could impact where you go to save travel time.

If you are around the Stratford area a few forum members play at Ashorne in the Cotswold Hills League. We travel to many of the away games in the Worcester/Gloucs/Warwicks area so it might be worth dropping myself a PM is you are close by.
