XXXL Helmet Issues
« on: May 31, 2015, 06:25:49 AM »

Hi All

Never worn a helmet! Now I am playing at a standard where I feel I would benefit from.

My problem is I have a large, funny shaped head! Back to front being quite large I think.

The Ayrtek one is no where near fitting me. The 2015 Masuri in Large is boarderline, could do with something slightly larger!

Has anyone solved similar issues??  Any help would be great!

I've got a meatball head and always have struggled to find a kid that fits. My ayrtek fits perfectly with the acis liner and would suggest this for you if you head is a funny shape as it moulds to your head shape using air as opposed to being a fixed shape.

I've also got a new masuri and the extra 1cm on the size compared to the old model makes a massive difference with regards to fit on my head. I'm struggling to get to grips with the vision but that's a whole different question (I'm also horrendously out of nick so may be using the new lid as an escape clause!)

The Masuri large as mentioned above is generous with its sizing and another option would be the Gray Nicolls Test Opener model that's available in Xtra Large. It's a very well made helmet with good padding on the inside that makes it feel very comfortable.

Albion would be good, they have the adjustable padding which can give more room

Went for the masuri test.

Fits my massive head, it also seemed slightly bigger that the elite one!

Happy with purchase.
