oversized edge or 75mm spine?

We can get both or one or the other.

We currently have big edge and big spine which will make hot big edges of spines hope that helps

Would love to get a Mullanator (one made from oversized cleft) in butterfly willow finished at 2lb 11oz. If that comes up let me know and my card is ready :)

I believe there are oversized clefts and super-sized clefts. If your chosen profile uses a 400 cleft it will come out at the standard weight for that profile, say 2lb 10.

If you use a 380 cleft your bat will turn out 2lb 8oz. If you want to use the extra volume a 380 cleft gives then that is super-sizing and that costs extra.

Because it would be a bespoke shape mate that's only cost incurrence not williow.

We can beef up shapes but the difference is physically what you can get out of a normal cleft and a oversized.

Stripe costs the same be it 3 stripe normal cleft or oversized just factor bespoke or custom for a already cad designed profile making them cost a touch extra as the price difference between custom and bespoke

What are the benefits of a 407 oversized cleft then? Unless it is concaved it within an inch of its life wouldn't its weight be on the very heavy side? I would have thought oversized clefts would be more benefit being lower density to get bigger edges and spine for a given weight.

I have no idea just trying to get my head around the oversized cleft thing

It just allows you to have a bigger bat potentially  really.

Look at the mull for instance it has 41mm edges and 72mm spine you can't make it out of a normal sized cleft.

So oversized would allow the potential to make it.

Weight would be a factor the lightest you can get a mull would be around a 342 oversized which would be around 2-9 if I'm not mistaken.

407 would make a heavy mull but some people want massive big heavy bats.

Oversized is there to allow people to get big bats and you can reduce the size slightly and still use oversized and get in around 2-8.

There different variants of oversized as well some with massive edge capabilities and some with spine and some just big all over hope that makes sense. We try to cater for everybody

OK, to get the extra volume from a 380 cleft it is then super-sizing. No matter the grade of willow it then becomes a bespoke which costs extra. My understanding of CAD/CNC is in this instance the prep and tooling is the same apart from using the 'stretch' function to give it the extra 2mm thickness.

So what sort of densities would you class as being Crown grade willow?

Infact cancel that steaky has just told me there no extra cost to supersize a all ready made shape but it will be 2oz heavier for a extra 2mm all over sorry about confusion Roger
